Closing math achievement gaps
Partner in Education works with teacher and administrator teams to explore the ways in which certain math classes—such as Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I and II—act as gatekeepers for students’ success in high school, college and careers. In the workshop participants are guided through a process of identifying gaps in mathematics achievement among students, and ideas are presented for ensuring equitable opportunities for all learners. Standards-based curriculum development
Partner in Education helps teachers and school administrators align content and programs with local, state, and national standards. Using tools and strategies for designing rigorous curriculum, schools can better prepare students for high-stakes assessments. Our consultants help teachers and administrators become better advocates for standards-based learning by providing samples of student work as evidence of effective practices. Key topics include:
